Antarctica
This map of the southern hemisphere uses the South Pole Orthographic projection, which depicts the southern hemisphere as it appears from outer space, if the observer were looking directly at the South Pole. The edge of the map is the equator, which is where the greatest distortion is, making it an ideal projection for Antarctica. Orthographic projections actually date back to antiquity, although not ones centred on Antarctica, since this wasn't confirmed to exist until 1820.
The map was originally made to illustrate a blog about the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition of 1902. Check it out if you like penguins.
